Donna Milo a Republican is about to change the face of South Florida politics. Milo changed sexes 10 years ago and she’s now on a mission to make changes in Washington D.C..Donna’s not unlike her would be constituents. Her family fled Cuba in the 1960’s. She’s was married, raised a couple of kids, and she runs her own small business (she’s a successful Miami General Contractor).

According to her website, Milo plans to focus on tax incentives to boost the economy, healthcare and ending the nation’s dependence on foreign oil to win election.

“I will bring meaning and respect back to the guiding principle of our founding fathers,” Milo says on her website.

As for the transgender issue, Milo addresses it on her website…….

It is the firm belief in the principle honesty that allowed me to face my life’s greatest challenge, to be true to myself, honest with my loved ones and to confront my true identity.  After years of great pain and struggle, I finally came to terms with the decision to be who I am and to undergo gender re-assignment surgery.

I thank God every day that my family and loved ones stood by my side, love me for who I am and support me in all of my endeavors.  I also thank God daily for living in this great country of ours where all Americans have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Should she beat Wasserman Schultz, which may not be easy, she’ll join Lake Worth City Manager Susan Stanton as one of South Florida’s transgender poster girls.

Hopefully, the US 20th congressional district and incumbent Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz will be sitting up and taking notice on election day.
